Vintage signed studio pottery bowl with a beautiful abstract surface and rich blue green glazed interior. This is a substantial little piece with a nice heavy feel and a handmade look that really stands out in person. The exterior has an organic design in soft white, blue, and charcoal tones, while the inside is finished in a glossy deep teal/blue glaze. Signed on the underside “Soixante,” with additional incised marks. Exact maker unknown.
This piece works well as a decorative bowl, small planter cachepot, or shelf accent. It has that great one-of-a-kind studio pottery presence that looks collected, not mass produced.
