Very good pre owned condition. One small chip on the back side of each item (circled in red). Natural variations, glaze breaks, and surface texture are intentional to the design. Felt pads on one base, the other has worn off over time.
This striking pair of handbuilt studio pottery vases features sculptural, vertical forms with folded rims and dramatic surface texture. Made from iron rich stoneware and signed and dated 2007, these vessels showcase a beautiful contrast between soft matte glaze and darker exposed clay areas with a subtle metallic sheen from high fire reduction.
The vases appear intentionally not identical. One is slightly taller and darker than the other, creating a complementary pair that feels organic and architectural. They work beautifully styled together or displayed separately.
Perfect for collectors of studio ceramics, brutalist decor lovers, or anyone drawn to wabi-sabi, tactile forms.
